Vintage portable examination lamp with adjustable neck.

This piece features a wheeled, painted cast iron base and caged industrial light affixed to an adjustable metal neck. this lamp would have originally been used either for examination purposes or to treat bedsores. For bedsores, the lamp would have been placed 14" -16" away from a bedsore to help "dry it out." More recent research has shown this is not an effective way to treat bedsores, so the practice discontinued.

Exhibits minor signs of wear including some paint chips and rust.
